What is depression?
Depression is a kind of disorder or mental illness in which a person get extremely disappointed and sad due to unexpected loss or failure in life. The person feels too hopeless and loose his interest in life. He don’t engage with other people and like to stay along.
This time is very dangerous as people often think of suicide in depression. If it is not cured and controlled immediately it can further increase making the person internally weak.

Some people are unreasonably depressed due to uncomfortable atmosphere whereas some are tensed due to some strong reason. It is mostly found in people who are upset due to some incident or due to some failure.

If you are suffering from depression and if you want to overcome it as soon as possible then you should follow the methods given below to get rid off from depression.
1. Take deep breath.
Start with taking deep breaths. It is very simple and basic technique to overcome depression. This will not reduce your depression all of a sudden but it will definitely help you to feel better. If you take long breadth, more and more oxygen will be diffused in your blood which will help you to keep your mind fresh.
This will also keep you active and will give you better ability to think. This will also help you to concentrate better in your works. In this way you can reduce your depression to certain level. But taking one or two long breadth will not make any change. You should consistently take deep breaths.
2. Stop thinking about it.
One the most common thing which make people more depressed is thinking about the incident again and again. For example, if you failed in 10th class you will be depressed too much. And thinking about it aging and aging will make your more depressed.
So instead of thinking about your failure, think how can you tackle that problem or better not to think about it at all. You can do some activities to distract yourself from those ugly thoughts. You can play games, watch movies, visit a garden etc.
3. Talk to an adult.
When you talk to someone about your problem you will feel much better moreover you will get some solution for your problem. You can talk to the person whom you like the most. You can talk to your parents, siblings, your friend, or to your husband/wife.
Talking to them will also help you to find out the reason for your depression. This will reduce your stress and anxiety and this will lower down your depression.
4. Do your favourite thing.
The best way to reduce your depression is by doing the thing which you like the most. If you like playing games, travelling, eating, dancing, singing, reading or anything else then you should do it without any hesitation.
This will help you to divert you from your thoughts and will also help you to make your mind fresh and cheerful which will reduce your depression.
5. Keep yourself busy.
If you keep yourself busy you will not have any time to be depressed. You can do anything which amuse you but make sure it don’t lay much stress over you. You can do the things which is effort less but keep you busy for long.
One such thing is crafting, you can also do drawing, dancing, singing, reading, swimming etc to keep yourself busy.
6. Stay fit and relaxed.
It is mostly found that people in depression, become too thick or thin because they cannot put much time to stay fit. That start worrying too much which make them thin on the other hand some people keep sitting at one place and don’t do much physical work which make them too thick. This is too bad as it has adverse effects on your complete health.
You can join a gym to regain your health. Or you can do some basic exercise at your house. If you are unable to your mind calm you can do some yoga or meditation at your house.
7. Go out with friends.
If you want to overcome depression quickly then it is better to go out with friends. Just forget everything and enjoy your day. Ask your friend to hang out together. You can visit a park, you can go to a coffee shop, you can visit an amusement park, or go abroad to take a long tour.
If you don’t want to go out then just stay back at your house and spend some quality time together. This will help you to refresh your mind which will reduce your depression.
8. Listen to music ( avoid sad songs).
Music is like magic and you can use this Magic to overcome depression. You can listen to your favourite singer. I recommend you to listen classical music as it quickly refresh your mind with positive thoughts.
You can listen any type of song except sad one’s as hearing to them is like spreading salt over your wounds. You can listen romantic songs, hip hop songs etc.
9. Try to laugh.
I know it is really hard for anyone to laugh who is in depression but believe me laughter is the best medicine for reducing your depression. Almost 90% of the depressed people don’t even smile which further more makes them sad.
It’s very hard to laugh when you are in depression. Hence you can watch a funny serial, a humorous movie, or you can read some comic books. This will help you to get back your interest in life.
10. Watch motivating videos.
Almost all the depressed people feels very hopeless which is the Chief cause for their depression. Due to their hopelessness they feel to suicide, so it is very important to pump up your motivation.
